Admissions and Intake
Who We Serve
LiveLikeMike Homes provides recovery and transitional housing for individuals who are ready to rebuild their lives with purpose and intention. Whether you are stepping out of treatment and committed to sobriety, or transitioning out of incarceration, homelessness, or an unstable living situation and ready to move toward independence, we have a place for you. We do not simply offer a bed — we offer a structured, supportive community built around accountability, healing, and forward momentum. The right fit matters — for you and for every resident already in our community.
Sobriety & Recovery Commitment for Recovery Homes
Must be actively committed to sobriety and maintaining a substance-free lifestyle
Must be willing to submit to a drug screening prior to move-in and random screenings throughout tenancy
Must be willing to attend a minimum of three AA or NA meetings per week as required by the program (certain homes)
Must be willing to participate in daily morning house meetings (certain homes)
Must not be in active withdrawal at the time of move-in — medical clearance may be required if recently completing detox
Stability & Readiness
Must have a verifiable source of income, benefits such as SSI or SSDI, active housing voucher, or a documented plan for securing income within 15 days of move-in
Must be able to pay weekly rent on time and maintain financial obligations of tenancy
Must demonstrate readiness for community living through the intake interview process
Must not pose a safety risk to other residents or staff
Our Intake Process
All prospective residents — whether applying for recovery housing or transitional housing — complete a one-on-one intake interview with house management, along with a drug screening four our recovery homes. We take this process seriously because our residents depend on us to protect the community they are rebuilding their lives in. For transitional residents, we also take time to understand your specific reentry needs, goals, and any support services you may already have in place, so we can connect you with the right resources from day one.
We approach every application as a whole person — not a checklist. Whether you are navigating early recovery, reintegrating after incarceration, or simply looking for a stable and supportive place to land, if you have a complicated history but a genuine commitment to change, we want to hear your story.
Program Participation
Must be willing to engage with wraparound services offered through our partnership with Chris 180, including mental health evaluation and group or individual therapy where recommended (certain homes)
Must be actively engaged in a recovery program, treatment plan, outpatient program, or working with a sponsor or case manager
Must be open to referrals for additional support services as identified by house management
Behavioral Expectations
Must be willing to comply with all house rules and community standards as a condition of tenancy
Must be willing to participate in house chores, community meetings, and the shared responsibilities of co-living
Must demonstrate respect for housemates, staff, neighbors, and the property itself during the intake process
