About Michael
On October 17, 2021, we lost Michael Giles at just 24 years old. At his celebration of life, the same phrase kept surfacing from the people who loved him: "Live like Mike." Michael always showed up. He served his community without being asked. He protected his friends without hesitation. He helped people who needed help without ever expecting anything in return. He did what was right, especially when it was hard.
Michael's sister Megan — an attorney and the founder of LiveLikeMike Homes — turned grief into purpose. What began as a way to honor a brother has now housed over 200 people across Atlanta: individuals in recovery, essential workers priced out of the city they serve, and families holding vouchers with nowhere to turn. Every unit we create carries Michael's name and his spirit.
